Kate Tipp is the Financial Planning & Analytics Manager for Mercy Ships. She is responsible for leading the budget, forecast and board reporting cycles for her organization as well as providing information that allows the executive team to make informed decisions.  Mercy Ships is a Christian non-profit that provides free surgeries and medical capacity building opportunities in Africa. Kate is passionate about working with Mercy Ships because seeing all the puzzle pieces come together globally to change the lives of their patients gives the work a deeply satisfying purpose. It also provides a unique opportunity in East Texas to interact and learn from cultures around the world. Prior to joining Mercy Ships, Kate grew up in Brazoria, a small town on the Texas coast, and married her high school sweetheart. She obtained her B.B.A. in Finance at Texas State University and began her career working in Wealth Management at Texas Gulf Bank in Houston. Their family started calling East Texas home at the end of 2019, and she has loved becoming part of this community.
