SHERI DESPAIN, Executive Director, University of Texas Foundation Sheri DeSpain has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UT Tyler and a Master of Professional Accounting (Tax) from UT Austin, so feels at home working for the UT Foundation.    Sheri worked in the health care and high-tech industries until joining the CPA firm of Maxwell Locke & Ritter in Austin in January of 1997.  She worked in the tax department serving as the primary point of contact for the firm with a wide variety of clients providing tax, estate, and consulting service with an emphasis on high wealth clients.  Sheri joined the University of Texas Foundation in May of 2008 as Chief Financial Officer and was named Executive Director in 2017.  The Foundation is small, agile and provides a wide variety of services to the University of Texas Institutions.   As a hands-on Director Sheri works hard to keep operations fast, relevant, and efficient.   Sheri and Keith DeSpain have been married for over 30 years and have two grown children, three grandsons and a new granddaughter.  They enjoy activities that get them outdoors, although indoors is fine if you are playing cards.
