Aaron graduated from the UT Tyler School of Nursing in 2000, and immediately began working as a staff nurse in Surgical Services at East Texas Medical Center. He accepted the same position at the Texas Spine & Joint Hospital in 2003. Although not initially interested in management, he eventually accepted the challenge of advancing to a director-level position in 2004. He worked for the next 12 years in that capacity. In 2016 he was given the opportunity to advance again and began post-graduate education. In January 2017, Aaron became the fourth Chief Nursing Officer of the Baylor Scott & White Texas Spine & Joint Hospital. He completed his Master of Public Administration at UT Tyler in December 2017. Aaron received his certification as a Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) in 2009. He is a lifetime member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN), American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He is also a proud graduate of Leadership Tyler, Class 32. Aaron is a lifelong East Texan and is heavily involved in the community. He and his family are active members at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Bethesda Health Clinic and the Tyler Junior College Nursing Advisory Committee. He and his wife Amy have two daughters, Ava and Olivia, who attend Grace Community.
