I was born and raised in Tyler. I graduated from UT Tyler in 2000 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I have proudly worked as a Registered Nurse since that time.

I began my career as a staff nurse in Surgery at ETMC. I accepted the same position at the Texas Spine and Joint Hospital in 2003. I was fortunate enough to become the OR Manager in 2004, and eventually become the Director of Surgical Services. I became the Chief Nursing Officer in 2017, completing my Master of Public Administration at UT Tyler the same year. I recently began serving on the Board of Directors at the Bethesda Health Clinic.
