Addie Moore

Artist, Teacher, and Community Organizer

Addie Moore is an interdisciplinary artist, teacher, and community organizer from Tyler, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2016, where she studied art history with a minor in studio arts. She focused her academic research towards museum education and community involvement in the arts. She was selected for the Bill Archer Fellowship, where she interned with the Education Department of the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution and studied abroad in South America as part of the Global Awareness Through Education (GATE) program.

She is a certified art teacher at Chapel Hill High School where she teaches all levels of art. She founded the East Texas community organization, ETX creatives. When she is not teaching high school art, she is organizing community arts events for ETX creatives, she spends her time creating artwork, and scouring the internet for cheap flights.
