Aimee Dennis serves as the Director of Special Programs and Leadership at the UT Tyler University Academy, and prior to this role, she served as the Campus Director of the UT Tyler University Academy at Tyler for six years.  The UT Tyler University Academy is an open enrollment STEM charter school located in East Texas.  The charter serves around 850 students in Kindergarten through 12th grade on three separate campuses in Tyler, Longview, and Palestine.  Mrs. Dennis earned a bachelor’s degree in education as well as a master’s degree in educational leadership from The University of Texas at Tyler.  She is currently enrolled in a doctoral program pursing a Doctor of Education in School Improvement from The University of Texas at Tyler.  Additionally, Mrs. Dennis has experience as an assistant principal, instructional coach, and teacher at James S. Hogg Middle School in Tyler Independent School District.
