Amanda Payne BSN, RNC-OB is the Clinical Director of Labor and Delivery, the OB Emergency Department, and Lactation Services at CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center, Longview.  She graduated from Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing with Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2003 and began her career in Labor and Delivery.  She obtained her certification in Obstetric nursing in 2011 from the National Certification Corporation.  She has been a labor and delivery nurse for nineteen years and has also trained in newborn care, gynecologic surgery, pediatrics, and lactation services.  She became a Clinical Director in October of 2020.  In her time here as Clinical Director, CHRISTUS Good Shepherd obtained their Level 3 Maternal Designation status from the State of Texas and they continue to work diligently with the Texas Alliance on Innovation for Maternal Health Initiatives in order to improve maternal outcomes and decrease maternal morbidity and mortality in the state of Texas.  As a mother of three beautiful children, her motivation is to provide the best care for expectant families and provide them a great childbirth experience.
