Andy Covington

Managing Partner

Andy Covington is the Principal-in-Charge at The Power Source, PLLC – an electrical engineering consulting firm in Madison, MS.

Mr. Covington holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University with a minor in mathematics.

He began his career working for the US government as a civilian employee of the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers in Vicksburg, MS.  Projects designed included:

  • Red River Lock & Dam #4
  • Red River Lock & Dam #5
  • Numerous Lift Stations
  • Numerous Recreational Vehicle Parks
  • Renovations and miscellaneous work at pumping plants, greentree reservoirs, as well as hydroelectric plants.

In 1997, he opened a branch office for a mechanical/electrical/plumbing engineering consulting firm in Jackson, MS – which he managed for three years.

In 2000, he started his own electrical engineering consulting firm that was originally called Andy Covington Engineering, but later renamed The Power Source, PLLC in 2006, when he added a partner to the firm.  The firm provides electrical engineering services for many different types of facilities including:

  • Industrial Plants
  • Hospitals
  • Commercial Buildings
  • Schools
  • Universities
  • Government Entities.
