Azalia Perez is a bilingual counselor at the East Texas Crisis Center in Tyler, Texas. She is a UT Tyler alumnus, who graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology in May 2020. While in school, she worked with families and children through various programs in the community including UT Tyler’s Born to Read program. She completed her counseling internship at the East Texas Crisis Center and joined their team in November 2020. She works with survivors of dating violence, family violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes. She believes everyone deserves to be heard and supported in their most difficult experiences and feels honored to be able to accompany clients in their healing process. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, painting, reading, and volunteering in her community.
