Brian is a graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler, class of 1991, where he earned his BS in Criminal Justice. He has also earned his MS in Human Relations and Business from Amberton University and a Master’s Certificate in Criminal Justice Management from Texas A&M Commerce. Brian has 29 years of service in law enforcement and rose through the ranks to Captain with the DeSoto Police Department.

He is currently the Chief of Police for the City of Ovilla. Brian is a Certified Public Manager and a recipient of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Award for Professional Achievement. Brian has been married for 28 years to his wife Janet and has two boys both attending UT-Tyler.
