Chanda Perry

Chief Nurse Executive

Chanda Perry, MSN, RN is a native of the East Texas area. Mrs. Perry began her academic schooling within Jacksonville ISD and then proceeded to attend Tyler Junior College and Jacksonville College and thereafter The University of Texas at Tyler where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2000. After obtaining this educational foundation she then proceeded into practice in various treatment settings.

After several years in varied nursing positions she landed at Rusk State Hospital (RSH) within the psychiatric nursing environment. Mrs. Perry is now in her 14th year as a nurse at RSH. In that, for the last 5 years she has served in the highest facility nursing role of Chief Nurse Executive for Rusk State Hospital (RSH). RSH which operates under Texas Health and Human Services is a 288-in-patient hospital with a focus on psychiatric treatment and care.

Overall, Mrs. Perry has an accumulated total of 21 years of professional nursing experience with additional areas of practice including Perioperative and Home Health Adult and Pediatric nursing. Outside of her work Mrs. Perry has also completed her graduate studies in 2018 resulting in her reception of a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University. She has been selected and inducted into both Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
