Cherie Jones is a graduate of Texas A&M University with bachelor’s degrees in Architecture (Environmental Design) and Construction Science. Upon graduating from Texas A&M May 2002, she was hired to work for Centex Homes as a project manager/designer building high-end residential and multi-family homes in Dallas, TX. After eight years working in the homebuilding industry, she decided to work towards her architecture license.  She was an architect intern with Humphrey’™s and Partners Architects running million-dollar apartment projects. In August of 2010, she received her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. For six years, she was a full-time lecturer for the College of Engineering in the Department of Construction Management at The University of Texas at Tyler. Currently, she works for Tyler ISD Facilities Services Department as a Construction Project Manager. She manages over building schools for the school district as an owner’s representative and utilizes her design background by doing spatial design layout using AutoCAD and Revit for potential new developments. She was the project manager for the Tyler Legacy High School Project and helped assist managing Tyler High School.  Currently, she is the project manager overseeing Early College High School and assisting with Hubbard Middle School. She is the wife of Quincy Jones and has two beautiful kids Malcolm and Nyla Jones.  Cherie enjoys doing ministry in the community as an evangelist and owner of a nonprofit, self-esteem and career building organization for teens called Be You Tiful Girls.  Outside of ministry and working with teens, she is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
