Professional Summary With over 30 years of experience in the design, development and manufacture of medical devices I have led or provided support in many of the business and technical activities associated with bringing a device to market. This responsibility included the process and business development needed to support the manufacture of various devices. New product development, vertical integration, technology transfer, product acquisitions and various other device development activities have all been an integral part of my career in the health care industry. Experience ranging from simple design and development activities up to the responsibility of managing a $30 million, 400-hundred-person medical device manufacturing facility has been the extent of my career. The opportunity to have played a role in all stages of product development and business management has allowed me to develop an incredible understanding of what it takes to turn opportunities into reality. Having spent a significant amount of time in my career working in smaller start up environments has given me exposure to all facets of business development and manufacturing activities.

Career Experience A significant portion of my career was spent developing a broad spectrum of market leading disposable urological and vascular products. The activities needed to support the development and subsequent manufacture of those products provided me with significant knowledge of the urological and vascular clinical and market space. This led to the launch of numerous catheters and devices utilized in the peripheral vascular, cardiovascular and urological field. That experience has culminated into the launch of Huck Medical Technologies, Inc. In the company’s first year of existence we have already executed contracts for the development and manufacture of multiple new products and realized a valuation of well over $2 million dollars.

Merit Medical | Pearland, Texas Director of Research and Development, May 1st 2017 -December 14th 2018. Leading the R&D team by providing product development oversight for new and existing product expansion for integration into Merit’s worldwide portfolio

David Nichols Consulting | Brownsboro, Texas Independent Med Device Consultant, August 2016-May 2017 Providing Business and Product Development services to various companies and clinicians needing independent support to assist in the commercialization of various opportunities.

FutureMatrix Interventional | Athens, Texas Executive Director/General Manager, March 2015-August 2016 Responsible for the daily business activities associated with a 400 employee manufacturing and product development facility. Revenue growth of over 15% was realized over the course of this tenure. The vertical integration and growth included an additional 27,000 square feet of production and development space during this term.
