With over 30 years of experience in the health care leadership roles, Paula Anthony is currently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer for UT Health East Texas. She began her career working for a decision support systems vendor, spent 10 years with EY’s healthcare technology consulting practice, and for 23 years, served as the Vice President and CIO for ETMC Regional Health System.

Paula has a BA from Wesleyan University, an MBA from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management, and a Ph.D. in organizational change/human resource development from The University of Texas at Tyler Soules College of Business.

Paula is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Hospital Association Foundation. In 2017, she was appointed to the Texas Health Services Authority Board of Directors by Governor Greg Abbott. She has previously served on the Boards for the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce, the Tyler Economic Development Council, Leadership Tyler, and CASA for Kids of East Texas. She also teaches as a member the adjunct faculty for The University of Texas at Tyler Soules College of Business.
