Thomas Beets MD, practiced Family Medicine in Kilgore for 19 years and then became the medical director for Hospice of East Texas in 2006.

In 2008 he helped develop Texas Palliative Care which supports patients with serious illness. Not only is Dr. Beets heavily involved in East Texas’s health community through practice and education, but he serves his community through his church and their missions committee.

In his free time, Dr. Beets enjoys spending time with his family, plays racquetball with his partners of over 30 years, works with a Boy Scout Troop and gardens. He has served in the U. S. Army Reserves
