Our speaker today, John Boettcher (BET chur), is currently the Director of the UTHealth EP Heart Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Training Program for students interested in a career in the Cardiac Medical Device industry. This program is technical training and placement assistance program.

Prior to his current role he was employed in the Cardiac Medical Device industry for nearly 30 years with Medtronic and St. Jude Medical (now Abbott) in a variety of field representative roles including Clinical Specialist, Sales Representative, Regional Sales Director and Technical Field Engineer and a variety of locations including: Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.

He began his career as a Kinesiotherapist/Exercise Physiologist in the Veterans Administration Medical Centers in Battle Creek, Michigan and Houston, Texas. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix, an M.Ed. in Exercise Science from the University of Toledo and a B.A. in Psychology and education from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL.
