Jose Vega, Pharm.D., is a clinical professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences, Interim Associate Dean of Student Affairs, and Director of Interprofessional Education at Ben and Maytee Fisch College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Tyler. Dr. Vega received his Pharm.D. from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy in 2003. He completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler in 2004. Dr. Vega has practiced adult medicine pharmacy for 15 years in academic institutions. He has precepted numerous students and residents and has been the recipient of multiple teaching and precepting awards. His research areas include anticoagulation, sterile compounding, and interprofessional education.
