Kathleen Jones, MD, is the assistant dean of scientific foundations at UT Tyler HSC School of Medicine.  Kathleen is a longtime educator with significant experience in teaching medical students and residents and a strong interest in curriculum development and implementation.  She received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University (biochemistry) and earned her medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine.  She completed her pathology residency training at Scott & White Memorial Hospital, where she then practiced as a board-certified surgical pathologist for over 20 years.  She has held many teaching and administrative roles throughout her career and is very excited to be here in Tyler, helping to train the next generation of great physicians for East Texas!
