Kathy is the Chief Nursing Officer at CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall.   Kathy joined the Good Shepherd Ministry in April of 2020 prior to serving as the Nurse Executive at Shriners Hospitals for Children, Shreveport.  Kathy is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has held various leadership positions within the CHRISTUS Health System from 2005 to 2017.  Her roles have included Director of Acute Care Services, Clinical Director of Ortho/Neuro., and Director of Infection Prevention. Kathy has worked with nursing research and has served on several professional councils.  She describes herself as passionate about working on innovative processes that support the patient care continuum. Kathy obtained her Master of Science degree in Nursing Health Care Systems Management from Loyola University New Orleans and her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Organizational Systems Leadership from Northwestern State University.
