Dr. Lindsey Stockton grew up in Allen, Texas attaining an Associates of Science at Collin County Community College, Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at University of Texas at Dallas, Master of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology at University of Texas at Dallas, Doctor of Medicine at Texas A&M, and completing Internal Medicine Residency at Texas A&M.   After completing her residency training, Dr. Stockton worked at Methodist Dallas Hospital as a Hospital Medicine Physician, as well as Associate Professor of Medicine of Internal Medicine Residency, Associate Professor at UT Southwestern School of Medicine, and Associate Professor at UNT School of Medicine. This is where her love for academic medicine blossomed. After learning of the plans to begin a medical school in Tyler, as well as a new Internal Medicine Residency Program, she decided to transplant her and her family’s life to Tyler, Texas in 2020.   She is excited and honored to be one of the core faculty members developing both aforementioned programs. She is a Hospital Medicine Physician at UT Tyler Hospital as well as core faculty of Internal Medicine Residency and Clerkship Director for Internal Medicine at UT Tyler School of Medicine. UT Tyler School of Medicine is accepting applications for the inaugural class of 2023. Along with assisting the launch of the new medical school, Dr. Stockton is also in the process of assisting the development of a Transitional Year Residency Program that will hopefully begin July 2023 or July 2024.   Dr. Stockton is an active committee member of Internal Medicine Competency Committee, Internal Medicine Research and Curriculum Committee, Long Term Acute Care Committee, Physician Leadership Committee, Internal Medicine Wellness Committee, Curriculum Oversight Committee UT Tyler School of Medicine, UT Tyler School of Medicine Women in Medicine and Science Group Committee, Admission Committee UT Tyler School of Medicine, Chair of Transitional Year Clinical Competency.
