Marcus Bagwell is the Chief Meteorologist at KETK and FOX51. He’s been in East Texas since September 2013.

As a child, Marcus would stay up late into the night to watch severe weather coverage from his hometown of Nashville, even when storms had already passed his house. This love for weather became a reality when severe weather of April 16 1998, ripped through Middle Tennessee. Seeing the TV meteorologists in action confirmed his desire to do what they did that day– keep the public aware of the latest weather information.

Marcus’s number one goal in East Texas is to keep you updated with the forecast. He does this a many times via the KETK Weather Blog, an in-depth analysis of weather and explaining the science behind what we do as meteorologists.

Marcus holds a Bachelors of Science in Meteorology and a Broadcasting minor from Western Kentucky University.

Marcus is married to his beautiful bride, Cassie. They have a daughter, Anaya.

When Marcus is not on-air, you can find him staying active in our community. He loves serving in his church, playing basketball or tennis with friends, watching sports on television and making visits to public events and schools to educate about weather and safety.
