Melissa Anderson MBA, MSN, RN, NEA-BC Clinical Director Cardiac IMC and Central Monitoring Unit.  Melissa was born and raised in Marshall, TX and after attending Kilgore College, she attended Jacksonville University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2007.  She then continued her education from Walden University earning her Master’s in Nursing in 2009 and then her Master’s in Business Administration in 2015. She began her career at Good Shepherd as a graduate nurse on the Cardiac IMC unit in 2004.  In 2005 she transferred to Good Shepherd Marshall as Critical Care nurse. In 2008, she was promoted to the Assistant Clinical Director of Critical Care and then Clinical Director of Critical Care. In 2016 her career lead her to Christus Trinity Mother Frances as the team leader of a Neuro ICU and Neuro Medical unit. She later became the Clinical Director of Neuro ICU, Neuro Medical, and Medical Surgical ICU. Since August 2022 she has returned to Christus Good Shepherd as the Clinical Director of the Cardiac IMC. Most recently she was part of a team to open a Cardiac Observation Unit in a growing cardiac program.  Melissa is a member of the American Association of Critical Care nurses and The American College of Healthcare Executives. Melissa is very involved in multiple committees throughout the Health System including Throughput, Length of Stay, Code Blue, and Nurse Residency.
