Meloni Raney

President / CEO

Meloni (McDaniel) Raney is the genuine, authentic leader of one of the largest construction associations in the country, an advocate for women, and passionate about advancing the construction industry. Meloni graduated from the University of Oklahoma where she fell in love with the design-build process, and achieved a degree in Architecture with a minor in Construction Science. Initially following the trajectory of an architect, Meloni attained her architecture license while working at The Beck Group, a design-build firm headquartered in Dallas. The moment she set foot on a job site, her passion for construction was ignited.

In 2013, Meloni was hired as Director of Member Programs and Services at TEXO to leverage her strengths in educating and building programs for the construction industry. TEXO is the largest commercial contractors association in Texas, with members’ combined annual revenues of more than $15 billion. In March of 2015, Meloni was promoted to President and CEO of TEXO after the board recognized her successful efforts to grow membership and serve the entire construction industry. Bold and confident yet humble, Meloni is a natural leader and has been an invaluable resource to the AEC industry. Daily she is inspired by Esther 4:14: “Perhaps this is the moment for which you were created”.

Meloni was awarded 40 Under 40 in the nation for Building Design + Construction’s National Magazine Award in 2016 because of her impact on the construction industry as a young executive. She is an advocate for women, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Young Women’s Leadership Academy in Fort Worth, which focuses on STEAM education. In 2019, Meloni walked down the aisle to husband Ronny, and is a proud stepmom to four energetic teenagers. In her free time, Meloni can be found hiking, hunting, fishing, mastering plie at Pure Barre, or sipping a bold cabernet. She ran a marathon twice, but wouldn’t recommend it.
