Mike is the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Instructional Technology at Malakoff ISD. The district has earned a rating of an “A” from the Texas Education Agency for the last two years. Mike began his career as a teacher in Malakoff ISD before moving on to Coppell ISD where he was a member of the founding faculty at New Tech High @ Coppell. He then served at UT Tyler as an instructional coach, school administrator and associate faculty member before returning to Malakoff ISD in his current role.

Mike believes in student-centered learning, growing leaders within his organization and putting kids first. He is married to his wife Molly and has three children, Layne, 11, Bridget, 5 and Matthew, 3.
