Rita A. King is Director, Human Resource for Lone Star, serving full time since June 2012. Previously Ms. King worked as a consultant with Lone Star and most recently comes to the firm from the City of Tyler Information Technology department. She functions in full cycle human resources with previous roles in website and social media responsibilities as well.

Rita brings more than 20 years of broad-based business experience to the organization. Recently Ms. King returned to college earning an Associates of Business Administration summa cum laude at Tyler Junior College and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management and Human Resource Development, also summa cum laude at University of Texas Tyler. She is a Six Sigma Greenbelt, member of Phi Theta Kappa and Kappa Phi Kappa honor societies, as well as American Association of University Women, American Management Association, SHRM and very active in the local DallasHR SHRM chapter, having recently served on the Board of Directors.

A native Texan, born in a Houston suburb and raised in Nacogdoches County, Ms. King has lived and worked across the U.S. and Europe, including missions assignments in both music & drama evangelism and database design for web-based evangelism. Rita has been known to operate heavy equipment and enjoys reading, sewing, photography, playing piano, singing, decorating, plinking, volunteering, motivational speaking and traveling, especially Autumn Ambling in the mountains.
