Our Speaker, Sebrena Walker-Bohnsack, is a Human Resources Business Partner known for fostering empowerment cultures while encouraging servant leadership.  She believes the driving force behind both business success and employee engagement is actively achieved by enabling the full potential in others.  Sebrena strives to provide a bridge to building positive relationships with an ultimate focus toward the objectives and mission of an organization.

Currently with Fresenius Medical Care, the largest hemodialysis manufacturer and provider in North America, Sebrena provides expert strategic consultation to the Revenue Cycle Management and Finance executives and employees in five states.  Representing a company where employees share the singular purpose: “improving the quality of life of every patient, every day,” makes every workday a privilege.  Her home office is in Tyler, Texas where she is excited about the economic growth of this thriving community. Prior roles include leading HR Occupational Health Services for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas and directing the on-campus clinical program at Presbyterian Children’s Services.

Sebrena holds a master’s degree in Counseling-Psychology from Texas A&M University-Commerce and completed the HR Management Program at George Mason University.  Credentials also include the Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM-Certified Professional and Certified Case Manager (CCM).  She was elected as a national advisor for the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC).  Sebrena was proud to be nominated as a DFW Outstanding Woman of the Year for her professional accomplishments.

She avidly supports giving back to her community and was the recipient of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas Volunteer of the Year Award in 2017.  She has served on a variety of Dallas/Fort Worth advisory boards including the City of Richardson Sign Control Board, Network of Community Ministries, Bedford Community Affairs Commission and the Leadership Richardson Alumni Association.  Sebrena is thrilled to share her professional insight and experiences and hopes to inspire others to find the spark that ignites passion and success in their careers.
