Shane McGuire is a local attorney, and the owner of The McGuire Firm, a law firm in Tyler with a focus on personal injury and overtime litigation.

Mr. McGuire is from East Texas, having attended Whitehouse High School, TJC, and then UT Tyler, where he served as Student Government president his senior year.

After graduating cum laude from UT Tyler with a BBA in Finance, Mr. McGuire became a day-trader, and spent three fun years trading stocks before going to law school.

In 2006 Mr. McGuire graduated cum laude from Texas Tech School of Law, where he earned numerous academic awards, and served as an editor of the Texas Tech Law Review, where he has been published twice.

After graduating from law school, Mr. McGuire returned to East Texas and joined the law firm of Mayo, Mendolia & Starr, becoming a partner after only three years.

In 2015 Mr. McGuire started his own firm. He has tried over 50 cases to verdict throughout East Texas. He began his practice by representing insurance companies, defending their insureds in motor vehicle litigation. However in the past few years his practice has shifted to representing more and more plaintiffs, helping local East Texas families recover damages for harms they’ve suffered in motor vehicle accidents.

Mr. McGuire has served on the boards of CASA, Historic Tyler, and the Regional Alumni Council for UT Tyler.
