Terry Cooper is an independent, self-employed Marketing and Management Consultant. His career covers forty years of retail and media management. His longest employment was as Cavender’s Marketing Director, where the company grew from 22 to 90 stores in 11 states during his tenure. His consultant work includes creating methods and policies of managing costs and establishing strategic, mutually beneficial partnerships and relationships with users, vendors, and service providers.

Most projects involve making social media a principal part of a client’s messaging. He is experienced in digital retail, marketing, advertising, and retail management. Marketing and management have been the foundation of his career.

Terry was born in Tyler, Texas and returned to Tyler after finishing at The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Marketing and Business Administration. Terry completed the Leadership Tyler Course. Tyler has served on various Chamber of Commerce committees. He was instrumental in the creation of Bethesda Health Clinic. This is a medical facility for employed people who do not have health insurance. He has also been heavily involved in the creation of The South Springs Church, which was a mission project of First Baptist, Tyler.

He loves to read, learn, travel, meet new people or be outdoors.
