Travis Chick

Private Wealth Manager

Travis is a Private Wealth Manager for AWM Capital. Following his career as a Major League Baseball Pitcher, Travis has dedicated his life to helping fellow professional athletes & individuals navigate the complexities of money on a path to financial success.

After playing professional baseball for nine seasons, living his dream of pitching in the Major Leagues in 2006 for the Seattle Mariners, he graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 3 years with a Bachelors in Management/Finance in 2013. While working towards his degree, Travis coached high school baseball at The Brook Hill School, as well as at Tyler Junior College, winning State and National championships at each. Travis began working in 2014 as a Financial Advisor.

He was drafted in the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft out of high school by the Florida Marlins. During his playing career, Travis was twice named to Baseball America’s top 10 prospect list, as well as being honored as the San Diego Padres Minor League Pitcher of the year in 2004.

Travis has been very active in the Tyler community and throughout East Texas through several volunteer efforts including: Baseball camps to raise money for Hurricane Rita & Katrina relief-American Red Cross, East Texas Food Bank, Texas Fire Fighter Challenge, Habitat for Humanity, as well as serving on the Board of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Smith County and The Children’s Village. Travis is an active member of the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) and the Association of Professional Baseball Players of America (APBPA), while also assisting with various baseball events in the area.
