CHRISTUS Good Shepherd

Whitney Pearson is a physical therapist for Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center and Orthopedic Sports Medicine Institute in Longview, Texas where she evaluates and treats patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She believes that physical therapy is a well-rounded field with much to offer and enjoys getting to know and serve a wide variety of patient populations. Whitney sees patients with various conditions, including those of neurological, orthopedic, and vestibular nature. Interacting with great patients and co-workers is what she enjoys most about her job.  Whitney has been a physical therapist since graduating from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2018. Prior to this, she attended Texas A&M University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Before attending college, she graduated from Gladewater High School where she played tennis and softball and served as her school mascot. Throughout her education, Whitney served in various leadership roles, including participation in legislative meetings at the state capital where she advocated for patient access to physical therapy services. As a therapist, she seeks to be a compassionate and Christ-like care provider who supports her patients and colleagues while pursuing continued growth and learning from her team and through formal education.   Whitney enjoys serving and leading at her church as well as traveling, playing tennis frequently, singing terribly in her car, and spending time with her family. She has a cat named Charm (who most do not consider very charming) and loves being an aunt to her 6 nieces and nephews. She has recently begun learning to play the guitar as well as pickleball. She is passionate about meeting people where they’re at and loving them well and she hopes to encourage others with the hope the Lord has given her.
